Lake Village is located near Stateline Nevada, on the southern shore of Lake Tahoe. The key word for Lake Village homes may be affordable, but dont think thats a code word for shoddy. It is possible to get a less expensive home at Lake Village, and youll be in walking distance to popular resorts such as Heavenly.
Nothing in Lake Tahoe is very far away. If you are staying anywhere in Stateline, Nevada youll be close to everything. The Gondola at Heavenly may be the most popular destination. If youre staying at Harrahs Casino, Kingsbury Crossing, or Lake Village, youll be in walking distance. Its a bit like the strip of Las Vegas, but instead of blinding lights youll see acres of pine trees.

If youre looking to buy a vacation home, Lake Village is a prime spot. Like other less traveled spots, it is a good place to get away from it all. Part of the reason for a vacation home is to take a breather from the pressures of everyday life. Going to a resort which is teeming with people may not be entirely restful.
This is where vacation homes are most advantageous, and especially homes in a place like Lake Village. They are close enough to the main drag that you dont need to drive for miles to reach a destination, but they are private enough that youre not overrun by tourists. Tourists can sometimes be highly anxious–like theyre overcome by the pressure of only having a week to enjoy themselves, and theyre going to do it right. With a vacation home you wont be a tourist, youll be a local.
