And as much as I love my boyfriend with my whole heart, I can see now that sadly maybe I might have to reconsider a life married to him. I expected to find this sisterhood of wives that would comfort, uplift, and laugh with one another. This is how I felt when I married my exmo husband. I've supported him for 5 years, taken on that Doctor's Partner role, put my ambitions on the back burner, and it hasn't done a lick of good. I have missed the Church in some ways, and certainly the blessings of a temple marriage.
Unless you have those same understandings, I'm sad to say the relationship is almost certainly doomed. Though our husband's are different we are very similar. I wouldn't just give up, but be wary. Just know that she has been indoctrinated to believe that she wont reach the highest level of heaven if she isn't married in a Mormon temple to another Mormon. Let me say this so you can get an idea of just how crazy and how much your girl friend is into the Mormon religion: These are known as "garments". Their marriage falls apart because they are both working way too many hours, and they lose their way in life. Funny thing is he told me when we met that he was ready to stop focusing so much on work and start focusing more on his life. Oh well, I'll just pretend she's not mormon and see what happens. I get to experience the joys of his culture, which I never would have known otherwise.
