A day doesn't go by without Kim Kardashian announcing the launch of a new product. From perfume to makeup and even shapewear, is there anything Kim doesn't sell? Well, now Kim is selling body tape and she might actually be onto something with her latest business venture. Kim has been lifting her boobs using tape for years, after struggling to find bras that can be worn beneath her favourite extremely low-cut dresses. But, in the past, she's been forced to use strong and painful gaffer or duct tape that has "burned and ripped" her skin.
Kardashian West called tape a 'must' with open blazers
Kim Kardashian West regularly wears skimpy outfits , many of which would reveal her underwear, if she were wearing any. Instead, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum discovered over the years that using gaffer tape in place of a bra meant that she was able to sport revealing looks without flashing her undergarments. However, depending on the tape used, Kardashian West found problems with the hack. Sometimes her skin would be ripped off; other times, her nipples would be burnt by removal of the tape. It's a pain we don't like to imagine. So understandably, she wanted to create a product she could use that is pain-free.
We spoke to dermatologist Dr. Michele Green to determine how safe this actually is. She stated that the tape "could potentially be irritating depending on how sensitive your skin is and how long you leave the tape on.
The year-old admitted her new invention is pain-free on the nipple area, explaining that she had to resort to using sticky gaffer tape when she went braless to hold her cleavage in place and lift it because there weren't any other options on the market. But she admitted that she would 'rip her skin' when removing the tape, which wasn't intended for use on the body. Hands on: The reality star shared a video of herself taping up a topless model with her new SKIMS tape and demonstrated how easy it was to apply it to lift the boobs and pain-free to remove as well. She said: 'Hey guys, I'm in my closet and I'm going to show you how to tape up your boobs with the boob tape because it's something that I used for so many years. Basically the the tape works as a lift when a bra just won't do, especially when wearing a blazer without a shirt and low neckline dresses. Some ladies feel uncomfortable going bra-free and prefer the lift, support, security and coverage the tape gives.
