You can update, add, and remove some basic info on your account. You can change your name as many times as you want, but no more than 3 times in one minute. This limitation doesn't apply to accounts created less than 2 weeks ago. If you've already created a nickname, it's used if you don't have a name set. If you delete your nickname, you won't be able to create another one. This nickname is different from the nickname you can add in your "About me" page. To change that nickname, go to About me. After you add your birthday to your account, you can't delete it.

How to change your name
Subscriber Account active since. Your Google username is what pops up whenever you send someone an email. It's how people identify you, and how they know that it's okay to open those messages, even if your email address doesn't include your full name or another way of identifying who you are. And if you decide you need to change that name for any reason, you can. Keep in mind that changing your username isn't the same as changing your email address — you'd need to create a new account for that.
