Just go up to them and start up a conversation. Ask them out. If you are honest with her and don't try to play games she will probably cut you some slack for that. Mostly though you date a different race or ethnicity by forgetting they are a different race or ethnicity and remembering she's a girl and you are a guy, first, before black and white or any other difference you're both just human beings and all the most important parts are the same, or at least beautifully different in just the right way that they fit together the way they are supposed to for any man and woman. Then sadly you have to thicken your skin to deal with people outside your relationship who might disapprove. Their lack of acceptance, their ignorance. You get to decide how much it gets in and affects your relationship.

A kind, smart man who moves me, might be able to rock with me, regardless of race or ethnicity. The vast majority of my Black girlfriends exclusively and purposely date Black men, so I get a lot of questions about my UN-friendly dating roster and most of those questions are about the white dudes. Seeing specific movies is not a dating requirement for me. You better know and love Stevie Wonder, though.
