He was the sixth child of eight. He went Home to be with the Lord on February 17, Kenny professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Greater South Baptist Church and worshipped for many years. He was a Deacon and faithful member. Kenny graduated from Springfield High School, Class of , where he was an awesome football and basketball player. He was also good in baseball. He was a very intelligent person. After graduation he attended Tennessee State University where he was a member of the football team, The Tigers. After graduating from college in , he played pre-season with the Dallas Cowboys. He spent nine years in the United States Army, serving his country from to , receiving an honorable discharge.
